Pee Wees - BiSHA Nationals 2004 (ball)

The Pee-Wee team finsihed 2nd in their league and so played in the National finals which were held at Torbay Leisure Center, Paignton. After playing their hearts out for two days straight they came out for their final game fighting for 7th place. An experience never to be forgotten.

Game 5:Gloucester Boxers 8 Stansted Spitfires 5 – After Overtime

What a great game - edge of the seat stuff with all the team giving 110 %. The Spitfires came out strong and at the end of the first period the Boxers were 4 – 1 down. In the second period the stronger players really put their authority on the game and leveled the score to make it 4-4. The Spitfires fought back and put some heavy pressure on our keeper. Eventually slotting one past making it 5-4 to the Spitfires. Once again the Boxers effort and energy levels jumped up a gearl. The Spitfires were only 4 seconds away from 7th place when captain and the our highest goal scorer, Mike Barton, equalized and forced overtime. From the start of overtime the Boxers were into the match fast, scoring straight away. The Spitfires never stopped chasing the game but there were alot of tired legs and they couldnt get much of the ball. Boxers scored another 2 during the overtime period winning 8-5!

WELL DONE TO THE GLOUCESTER BOXERS PEE WEE TEAM 2004 - 7TH BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!

The Pee-Wee Team qualified for the Nationals again this year.

Stansted went on to finish 3rd.

Game 2 Vs Banbury Bulldogs: Won 4-0

Game 3 Vs Newbury Colts: Lost 10-2

Game 4 Vs Oxford Storm: Lost 6-1

Game 5 Vs Borehamwood lionhearts: Won 3-2
The Pee Wee team retained their 7th place from last Season!!!!!
