Queen of the Court Tournament 2007

Our 'Barmy Army' womens team reached the semi-finals of "The Queen of the Courts" national tournament. The tournament was held ot the Virtual Ice Rink in Rotherham, fourteen teams from around the United Kingdom entered and each match was five minutes long.

The Barmy Army drew their first game against the Bristol Bitches, who included a number of Great Britain international players, 0-0. After losing their second match to the Crash Test Dummies, Barmy Army bounced back with a 1-0 win against the Mighty Chix. They then drew the fourth 1-1 against Virgin Bladers, won the fifth 1-0 over Pink Slips and lost the sixth 1-0 to U Wanna Go.

The two wins and two draws saw Barmy Army through to the knockout stages where they beat Hockey Hot Wheels 2-0. This put the team through to the last four where they lost 3-1 against eventual runners-up U Wanna Go.
